Luna Blanca pieces are created with gold filled chains, charms and components. Many people confuse a gold filled piece and a gold plated piece because they both refer to placing a layer of gold on another metal. But I want to tell you that it is not the same. I want to explain to you the biggest difference between the two. A gold filled piece has a gold layer with more microns than a gold plated piece. A gold filled piece involves covering the piece with 1-10 microns of gold, while a gold plated piece is usually covered with only 0.1 - 0.3 microns of gold. When the layer of gold is thicker, it is logically more durable and has a higher quality. The life time of your jewelry depends on how you take care of your piece. It is important to take these facts into consideration to buy something that you are really looking for and makes you happy.
MAINTENANCE
Do not apply perfumes or creams directly on the jewelry.
Do not expose your jewelry to cleaning chemicals.
Wash your piece with water and neutral soap (approximately 2 times a week if the use is frequent).
Do not wear your jewelry when exercising because sweat can damage it.
It is recommended not to go into the water very often with your piece. If you decide to take a shower with your piece, rinse the piece well so that no shampoo remains on it.
